PUT YOUR BODY
IN GOOD HANDS

Release, Relax, Unwind

Balancing a client's chi so that the body can heal itself is an honor and a joy.  Years ago, receiving Acupressure and CranioSacral Therapy helped me heal from physical and emotional pain.  Now I feel blessed to share this powerful bodywork with others. I use Tui Na, Jin Shin, and CranioSacral Therapy to release restrictions in key parts of the body and unblock the flow of chi.  My work is gentle, yet very effective.  It allows the client's energy to circulate, helping to

  • reduce pain and tension

  • reduce stiffness

  • reduce stress

  • increase circulation

  • balance the immune system

  • balance the emotions

  • restore that feeling of ease and well-being

My Bodywork

Philosophy

When the chi is in balance, health and well-being are restored.  Because it is so gentle, my work is appropriate for all ages and states of health.  The work is done with the client fully clothed.

TUI NA MASSAGE

Tui Na is an active style of acupressure massage which involves rhythmic brushing, compression, rocking, stretching, and range of motion. This increases circulation, releases tension, and enhances the flow of chi along the meridians of the body. It helps clear away toxins and gives a feeling of well-being that can last several days.  The client wears clothing that allows for

ease of movement.

JIN SHIN ACUPRESSURE

Jin Shin acupressure is the use of finger pressure on key points of the body to release tension and improve circulation. It relieves stress. Acupressure is a powerful tool for eliminating toxins and fatigue, relaxing muscular tension, and balancing  the immune system. It is helpful for problems ranging from backache, sciatica, allergies, insomnia, and arthritis to PTSD. It helps balance the emotions as well as the physical body. When the points are open, the chi flows through, helping the body to heal itself. Points are held quietly for 30 seconds to several minutes.

Jin Shin is gentle but highly effective.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) works with the tissues surrounding the central nervous system. The practitioner gently works with the spine, skull and sacrum, relaxing tensions in the body's diaphragms and fascia. In this way, the restrictions of nerve passages are eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord is optimized, and misaligned bones are allowed to return to their proper position. CST is used for mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia. CST nourishes the central nervous system, allowing the client to feel relaxed and deeply restored.

I often combine two or more modalities in one session.
